The area of the Friulian Hills is characterized by the presence of an extremely high number of churches and votive chapels spread all over the territory.
These places had to endure the assault of the centuries, bombardments and even earthquakes, like the terrifying one of 1976, that left their fair share of scars behind. Just like their inhabitants these buildings always got back on their feet and can still be admired today in all of their splendor.
