This church was completely destroyed by the earthquake of 1976, and the existing building was reconstructed in a modern style based on a design concived by the architect Ezio Caffi from Bergamo. It houses works of art previously located inside the original church: an intriguing cycle of stained glass made by the artist Ricardi di Netro. Not far away from the current church the remains of the original one and the Torate can be observed. The Torate is an almost square tower dating back to the 12th century, that was destroyed and partly rebuilt using the original stones, and from whose panoramic viewpoint you can take a glance over the morainic hillsides.
