The original building dates back to the 16th century, but it was completely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1976 by the A.N.A. division of Colloredo di Monte Albano. This is why it is known as the "little church of the Alpini". The church has been dedicated to St. Antonio da Padova since the 19th century (it was previously dedicated to St.Tomaso).
