The church, despite its 20th century facade, is one of the most interesting Baroque style buildings in Friuli. Built in the 17th century to house an altarpiece depicting the Madonna (dating back to 1506) made by Pellegrino da San Daniele, initially placed on the surrounding wall of an old braida (braida Sivilotti), it preserves several works of art inside. Among these worthy of note are the high altar (dating back to the18th century) and the fresco dating back to 1887 painted by Domenico Fabris (which can be seen on the ceiling of the nave) depicting the Presentation of Mary in the temple.
