Museum of the Territory of San Daniele

The Museum of the Territory of San Daniele del Friuli is located in the 17th century cloister of the old hospital, formerly a Dominican convent. The museum exhibits precious pieces of art: archaeological finds, jewels, ancient coins, glass, ceramics, terracotta objects, paintings. It is divided into three fundamental sections: archeology, sacred art and ethnography. The archaeological section presents findings from excavations carried out in the area, which allow to follow the evolution of life in the region starting from the period between the 8th and 11th centuries b.C. up to the medieval period.
